The Lost Colony

WRIGHT BROTHERS NATIONAL MEMORIAL

Is the site of the first powered airplane flight on December 17, 1903. The Visitor Center features a full-scale reproduction
of the original plan, "The Wright Flyer," and information services, exhibits and the NPS Rangers give talks on the
history of the Wright Brothers. Conducted trips to the grounds, complete with reproductions of the Wright's
1902-1903 camp buildings are also available.
